Do you accept insurance?

minus_edited.png

Accepted insurances are plans under Optum (including United Healthcare, Connecticare, UMR, Oxford), Anthem BCBS, and Medicaid (Husky Health). A superbill can also be provided to submit for out-of-network benefits.

What are your fees?

$215 for the initial intake session (60 minutes), $175 for subsequent sessions (50 minutes)

Payment is due at the time of session.

What can I expect in the first session?

minus_edited.png

The first session is all about getting to know each other. I’ll ask you some questions about your life, what brought you to therapy, and what you'd like to work on. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out, this is your space to explore at your own pace.

If you are a teen, I invite at least one parent or caregiver to join for about 15 minutes of the initial intake. While it is important to build rapport with your teen, it is also important for me to understand the parent or caregiver’s concerns as well as provide a space for questions.

What is a superbill, and how do I use out-of-network benefits to pay for therapy?

A superbill is an invoice I can provide after your sessions. It includes all the information your insurance company needs to consider reimbursing you for part of the session cost.

Here’s how it works if you want to use out-of-network benefits:

      1. Check with your insurance provider

Call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask:

-Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

-What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed?

-Is there a deductible I need to meet first?

               -Do I need pre-authorization or a referral?

      2. Pay for sessions directly

You’ll pay me the full session fee at the time of each appointment.

      3. Get your superbill

I’ll send you a superbill monthly (or as needed). You can then submit it

to your insurance company through their online portal, app, or by mail.

      4. Get reimbursed

If you're eligible, your insurance will send you a reimbursement check

          based on your plan's coverage.

Using out-of-network benefits can be a little more involved at first, but many clients find it’s worth it to see the therapist that feels like the right fit.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. If you cancel within less than 24 hours, you will be responsible for the entire fee of your session.
